Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee (JEC), chaired by Senator Bob Casey (D-PA), will hold a hearing entitled, “The Economic Outlook,” at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 4, 2011. The Honorable Ben Bernanke, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, will testify.

The Joint Economic Committee, established under the Employment Act of 1946, was created by Congress to review economic conditions and to analyze the effectiveness of economic policy.
