CEO Compensation
Download this chart.
The average compensation of U.S. corporate CEOs is more than forty times the salary of the average manufacturing worker. A yearly cross-national study conducted by Towers Perrin finds the CEO-to-worker pay ratio to be much larger than those of other industrialized countries. CEO compensation includes base salary, bonuses, perquisites, and long term incentives (like stock options).
