Ranking Member Mike Lee on November Jobs Report

WASHINGTON—Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), Ranking Member of the Joint Economic Committee, made the following statement on this morning’s jobs report issued by the U.S. Department of Labor:

“Last month’s 210,000 gain in payroll jobs is disappointing. Businesses are struggling with broken supply chains, causing American workers to suffer during the holiday season.”

“Meanwhile, employment remains far below potential. Millions of Americans remain out of the workforce, and President Biden’s sweeping, unconstitutional vaccine mandate will only cost more workers their jobs.”

“We must remember the dramatic toll that mandates and lockdowns have taken on American workers and families. Keeping businesses open—and stopping the reckless spending and disruptive mandates from Washington—are essential to restoring our economy.”

The Joint Economic Committee is Congress’s bicameral economic research center and home of the Social Capital Project, led by Ranking Member Mike Lee.
