Lee Welcomes New Staff Director to Joint Economic Committee

WASHINGTON—This week, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), Ranking Member of the Joint Economic Committee, welcomed Kevin Corinth as the new Staff Director for JEC Republicans.

Corinth comes to the JEC from the University of Chicago, where he served as Executive Director of the Comprehensive Income Dataset Project at the Harris School of Public Policy. Previously, he served as chief economist at the White House Council of Economic Advisers. Corinth, who holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago, has published widely on issues that animate the JEC’s Social Capital Project.

Ranking Member Lee said, “For nearly five years, the JEC’s Social Capital Project has studied the health of our communities and the state of social capital in America today. Kevin brings a wealth of insight and experience to this task as we propose specific policies to rebuild civil society, make it more affordable to raise a family, increase family stability, reconnect Americans to work, and improve investment in youth. I look forward to Kevin’s contributions to the team as we continue to chart a path forward for expanding opportunity and strengthening America’s social fabric.”

The Joint Economic Committee is Congress’s bicameral economic research center and home of the Social Capital Project, led by Ranking Member Mike Lee.
