WASHINGTON—Today, Ranking Member Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) released a new Joint Economic Committee report modeling how much inflation is costing you depending on where you live.

The report shows that inflation is costing Americans most in Utah and the Mountain West, with the average household facing a staggering 9% regional inflation and increased costs of $511 more per month in January 2022 compared to prices one year ago.

Americans in the Middle Atlantic region are experiencing the lowest surge in prices nationwide, with households facing 6.1% regional inflation and increased costs of $350 more per month. Regardless of where you live, life was more expensive in 2021.
