To explore clean energy workforce development, the Joint Economic Committee will hold a hearing titled “Growing the Economy Of the Future: Job Training For the Clean Energy Transition” on Wednesday September 20, 2023 at 2:15 PM EST. The hearing will be held in the Hart Senate Office Building, Room 216.
On Thursday, July 27, Senator Martin Heinrich (D-NM), Chairman of the U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee (JEC), and Representative David Schweikert (AZ-01) Vice Chairman of the JEC, will hold a bipartisan hearing titled “The Economic Impact of Diabetes” to explore the individual and shared economic impact of diabetes and diabetes-related health complications. Witnesses will testify on the economic costs of the disease, upstream causes of diabetes, the role of health and nutrition programs in diabetes prevention, and the role of pharmaceutical interventions, among other related topics.
